Hi!

That is not a direct swap. The frame is different for the engine and gearbox mounts.
Either change the frame mounts or fabricate special mounts. The 413 engine sits a bit higher too so either swap the bonnet or lower the eninge wich makes the frame mods the best way to go maybe.
Also there is no room for the brake booster on the firewall if you plan on making it easier to MOT in a difficult country like mine.
But you are in Australia so not a problem?
Welding and altering the frame would also present a problem in some countries.

Transfer mounts are ok and the same but you would not really want to put the 413 transfer case in the 410 without reducing tyresize :)
Depending on what year your 410 is the flanges for the driveshafts will also differ from the 413. But they are interchangeable.
1985.5 410's are more alike the 413 like the axles and driveline but the enginemounts on the frame and the space for the booster are still not the same.
It can all be done, and has been done, but if you want to put alot of work into it, there are more powerful engineswaps to do with the same amount of work to it.

I got an early 1984 410 and a full stock of 413 parts. and would not bother even with all the parts available.

Im going to swap the 413 body in tho my 410 because the 410 body was too rusty and i would cost alot of time and money to fix the rust . I got a the frame from the 413 i bought from Germany, with out import taxes on it. So it came with a complet driveline, other that the axels.

im not going to use the frame ;)
Im from Denmark ;) :D

aha!

But then you might cut out the mounts from the 413 frame and weld them in on your 410 frame.
and keep your 410 transfer but swap all else over :D
as long as your german 413 is from 85 to 88.5 it will all fit. i think.
Early 410 until 85.5-ish have smaller flanges for drive shafts on the axles so 413 would not fit straight on. But the flanges can be swapped.

Not sure if the early 410 frames have mounts for the anti roll bar like the 413. Mine most likely haven't but i think the later had.
body mounts, tank, brackets should more or less be similar.

I am playing with the idea to go to Denmark in May with my 410 instead of the Blue Jimny like I use to.

So to be clear, you are changing the body, the engine and gearbox/transfer box? I've no idea of the regulations in Denmark, but are you sure you can retain the original 410 registration etc? Why not just stick the 410 axles on the new 413 and register that instead? Probably less work all-round?

Here with high tax and import duty this is now very difficult to get registered. many tricks have been done especially on GW and other framed cars at a high price range. many GW frames from the eighties can be found with much newer imported german body, engine and much higher class of interior and extras.

some is done legally but also some to avoid taxes.

Her you can only swap to the same type of car, same engine now but earlier it was more flexible.

Yes that is me.
I think we met too, and talked both in denmark and Norway :)

We will sure meet again.
Talk to Sven with the yellow danger in may. That car is made from both 410 and 413 parts.
