Hello all!
I recently bought a 99' Jimny; always wanted one ever since my 89' Vitara went to heaven a few years ago...
Currently doing up the interior to take it overnight camping with the wife and two (small) dogs friendly.
So far we have stripped out the seats and all the plastic trim out of the back. Does anyone have a blueprint / accurate diagram of the rear interior? - Would make planning heaps easier!
Plans:
1. Build two 80cmX15cmX15cm long side boxes and a bit of shelving in the middle out of ply / interlocking aluminium tubing.
2. Create a fold down table on the inside of the back door.
3. Auxiliary battery with a power plug + USB at the back.
4. Put a 2001 ford mondeo cargo barrier behind the front seats to keep the pups and camping gear safe in the back.
Later:
1. Bull bar + spot lights
2. Replace rear bumper (it has a crack)
3. Who knows...
Anyway, I hope that being here will help me improve the vehicle and perhaps (once covid-19 is a distant memory) find some people to go out bush with!
Cheers,
Alx

Welcome to the forum. You can get a proper Suzuki mesh bulkhead to go behind the front seats from Ebay if you are able to find one.
