Looks awesome!
I thought you had a metal rear bumper but it was the extended arches.
It's a good spec. Getting the roof rack directly bolted to the studs that hold the roof rails on and ditching the rails might be prudent.

Yes you may be right, it's well over 7ft without camping gear and stuff on roof. Great fun at supermarket carpark entrances.

Yes, I've experienced the height restriction issue too with stuff bolted to the top of my roll cage. I've always been just under thus far.
It will lower yours by a fair few inches.
