Bit of care for J999MNY after the excellent crimbo lanin trip to North Wales... see Dave's fantastic blog... greenlaning.blog/2017/12/28/christmas-ru...iog-valley-27-12-17/

Some scratchy lanes there

So, Feeling hopeful with some of this:

and the result, not perfect, but pretty good considering the start...

Next job: arch extensions. Sick of not being able to see out of the side windows after 2 miles!

I think that's a good result Riccy. I find the Suzuki paint quite tough and responds well to scratch remover or T-cut. :)
If you do the lanes around Kent/sussex you get good at scratch removal, ask Dannel30 :)

Did you go over that with a sealer or wax after the polish? Will be a bit more protection for next time ;)

Thanks guys,

I did it with the super resin polish afterwards yes. When i get my buffing machine back from a mate i might have a better go at it. Pointless really, but it makes me happy when its shiny now and then :-)

Hi Riccy, looks nice. I like the arches, can you tell me where they're from or what they're off ?

Cheers

You can't be a bufty and a green laner! The two don't go together well as you'll be wearing through your paint if you keep removing scratches! I feel the pain as I was the same but gave up in the end!

Now I've got a small child there's no time for car cleaning anyway, so it doesn't matter anymore.

Thanks, The arches are from ala-plast.com/cz/off-road-4x4/jimny.html . They took a fair bit of fiddling about to fit & trim for the 31's but are fairly tough. The scratches in the passenger side ones were the full car leaning on them down a stone wall, so pretty strong things. Have since added some mud flaps as they dont help with that.

Kirkynut - im right at the 'does it matter?' stage with how it looks, likley to get worse methinks :-)
