We got a shed load of snow here overnight, and of course the local council decided not to grit the roads. Was no match for the wagon though

While it would be cleaner it also renderw the refitting of the bars in future an impossibility so I am sticking with the plastic dome nuts.

Been busy recently, so not much time for any cleaning, let alone mods
However I did get some new parts of eBay from a 2016 model
Didn't get the airbag as it was knackered to say the least, but I was quite chuffed with the fascia as it comes with the flap on the 12v socket too.
The only downside is there must've been a revision with the wiring harness, as the new clocks have one plug, where as my current ones have two
I'm thinking fitting them will be a custom wiring jobbie.

Nice looking vehicle.
In the near future I plan to purchase a Jimny as a daily driver in the Philippines.
I see that you have a rear disc brake conversion; who is the maker, where did you purchase it and did you do the installation ?
In the states presently drive a 1998 Jeep Cherokee on which I installed a disc brake conversion; the difference in braking performance is like night and day.

I got my rear disc conversion from JimnyBits which I believe is based in the UK. In addition the the linked page, you'll also need extended brake lines, discs, pads, and calipers. The most commonly used are off a Renault Megane, and cost me about £100 including pads.
Depending on what size wheels you have you may also need spacers, I found that with the standard 15 inch steel wheels there was some grinding against the caliper. I've since upgraded to alloy wheels so I need to see if I need spacers with those anymore, which are 32mm at the moment.
And similar with your Jeep the difference was definitely noticeable, it still mainly uses the front brakes, but stopping is a lot more "level". However I do find that the ABS does tend to kick in a lot more.
