Fitted spacers to the driver's seat today and they work a treat (I'm 6ft4ins and my knees were nearly touching the dashboard before doing this). I've also removed the carpet from the front as well as in the back (I just like to keep an eye on all the metal on the floor just in case it rusts) - the floor looks brand new fortunately; will throw some mats in to keep the muddy feet at bay. Took most of the trim out as I will clean this and paint it. Threw some waterproof covers on the seats and a cover on the spare wheel. All superficial stuff at the moment, but working my way up to the more gritty jobs. Oh and I fitted a cheap replacement horn as mine was dead as a dodo.

Any updates on the old girl ? Can you list all the mods & tyre size in your footer ? How much did you pay for it ?
For sound deadening & protection I like the urethane bed liners. If there's no rust to begin with it keeps it at bay. Worked on my LJ for the 10 years I had it.

Looking for a nice clean and straight LHD Jimny..... Not any more.
Got one that seems to have been magnatized and driven through the "Big Jimny Bits" parts stores too quickly so it missed a few items.

Sorry for the lack of updates - not had much time to work on her this past couple of months. I did use some Buzzweld anti-rust spray on the inside load bed, where it meets the wheel arches (just a tiny bit of rust showing through), then I painted the floor with Raptor load liner protective paint (couple of coats). Also sprayed all the trim Buzzweld anthracite, but it's all still in the shed waiting to be put back in the vehicle. I fitted some wind deflectors which work a treat, I'm now able to keep the windows open an inch or so which prevents it from getting too damp inside. However, I did notice that the steering wheel was growing mold on it the other day!

It's been a while since my last update, but the inside is now looking a lot better, what with removing the rear seats, adding a load mat, respraying a lot of the trim, adding good quality seat covers, etc. I even bought the correct transfer knob and fitted that!
