Finally got round to having a new hat fitted to Jimny Cricket. Went down to Monsoon and had it done and stayed overnight. Went into Eastbourne that evening and onto Hastings the next day before going home. Nice little trip.

Oh don't tell me i've got to host the pic somewhere and upload it from there!!!

How do you find the press stud fitting, is it nice and easy?

My current hood looks like it's shrunk in the wash with nothing lining up, it's 1cm smaller now at the
Boot.

Hi Blitz, that was exactly the same scenario on the wife's before the new one. The previous owner had installed a wooden bar about 1cm square along the top of the back door and screwed it shut, right ol mess but now it's sweet all round. Only criticism is that the additional framework upgrade was needed as it's a Mk1 and where the frame is screwed to the body with spacers between, one or two of the press studs flex when you shut them as the framework screws aren't always next to the studs. Other than that it's a 1000% improvement on the whole function and look. Even the wife can put the hood down and up on her own and has been doing so this week for the first time since she got the car a year ago.
