So every day is a school day

Many of you on here know I'm not to mechanically minded   :woohoo: :woohoo: but i thought i would have a go at changing my oil. I got myself a oil catch can thing took the bung out for the oil to go down, laid it under the jim in the right spot, got the correct socket for the sump bolt (so far so good, can feel the Mechanical blood flowing through my veins) then shuffled under the Jim.

Got the sump bolt moving (brilliant) then started to undo it by hand - came to the last turn and out came the oil not looking to bad :silly: and it started to pour into the oil catch can - Excellent (I'm a mechanic now !!!) and my Monday was going fantastically well.

Then to my horror as i laid squished under the Jim on the wet concrete drive the oil was going down the hole in the oil catch can but not as quick as it was coming out
So i tried to replaced the sump bolt in a panic to find i wasn't at a great angle to re-fit the bolt :S but the perfect angle for the oil to run down my arm inside my hoodie filling it up quite nicely        got the bolt in and then dragged myself out muttering horrible words to myself as that hadn't really gone to plan

Couldn't work out why it wasn't running away quickly enough until i spotted, that connected to the oil catch can bung was i tiny little other bung which I guess they call the BREATHER BUNG!!!

So this tiny tiny little piece of plastic has really ruined my Mechanic status

So if any of you people are having a bad Monday please feel free to use this to make you feel better :silly: :woohoo:
