Thanks Daniel. Probably gonna go down the 2 inch lift route when funds permit. Been well and truly bitten by the Jimny bug.
Just fixing the BM for summer at the moment
Might have to play around with the light aim for the top bar
Top bar is a 34 inch and the one in the grill is 20 if anyone wants to know

If in doubt ...... Flat out ??

Yeah I know what you mean it's addictive, did you post a link before about the brackets? Did you get them from flea bay?

Yes I got the brackets off eBay . I did post a link about them earlier. Bought a wiring harness off there too complete with 40amp relay, switch and deutsch connectors. It's really not worth trying to make your own harness.. All the wiring is located inside the cab and I just ran the light feeds and the wires to the battery through the bonnet release cable hole with a suitable grommet..
Fabricated some short extension pieces from the eBay brackets using some flat bar ( B&Q) and then bolted the light bar to a longer section of the flat bar. This moves the light bar just far enough away so you can pop the bonnet up. Light bars are quite wide compared to some spots I guess..
Top bar is 180 watts and the lower one is 120watts so the wiring kit can cope no problem. Running standard alternator too.
If any one fancies doing something similar I can always post more pics

If in doubt ...... Flat out ??

Thanks for all the information and yeah that's the brackets I was thinking about Cheers

Did you have to weld the metal on to bring the brackets out?

Didn't bother welding the the extensions to the brackets Daniel. I just drilled 2 M10 holes in them and bolted one end to the flea bay bracket hole that's already there and the other to to the bar that supports the bar. Got some plastic nut covers to go on today to finish it off..
I prefer this method cos it's a doddle to unbolt should I need to. Whilst the top bar doesn't interfere with the headlamp aim etc ,you only need a slightly overzealous MOT tester to say it does lol
And basically I'm a shit welder too :(

If in doubt ...... Flat out ??
