First Jimny

Had this just over a week now, just finished a service on it today. The intention is to use it a a shooting/dog taxi, will probably remove the rear seats, board it out and build a frame to shoot from. The rear hood isn't the tidiest but its keeping water out so far, idiotmobil's fastback is looking favourite but I still looking for other options (perhaps a modified Ifor William canopy), the front section might get welded over to allow a lamp to be fitted. Also received a towbar from a breakers yard so will be fitting that when time allows

I'll be interested to see how you go on with this bit, I want to do the same with mine.
Thought about cutting out the relevant section from my donor car and having it welded in, but saw something recently that makes me think the roof might be double-skinned........not sure at this stage

I have a neighbour who happens to be handy with a welder so hopefully its possible, failing that, there is a metal fabricators nearby who I'm sure will be able to knock up a hatch to cover
