Mark's 03 Jimny
I've recently bought my first Jimny, having passed my driving test in July. I've always wanted a 4x4, and the Jimny was the perfect one for me. It's a 2003 JLX, with a 104,000 miles on. I've owned about 2 months now, and in that time I have driven to Scotland from Suffolk, where it performed admirably, even when fully loaded with people or luggage.
I've also added a transfer box guard, radius arm mount guards, snorkel and have a diff guard ready to go on. Next on my list is to source some better speakers to match its excellent head unit put in by the last owner. After that, it needs some better tyres, and at some point some better recovery points.
Anyway, so far it has been happy motoring, and I have been incredibly impressed with its off road ability, even on shoddy road tyres!

It is good, gives a more purposeful look

Out laning again this afternoon. I need to find some better tyres soon, especially with winter coming. I am looking for a set of decent All Terrains, with the Yokohama Geolanders looking like a likely choice. I do mostly road driving, but I would like my tyres to give me confidence to venture down some different lanes, so hopefully some decent AT's should be just the ticket. Any other tyre suggestions/opinions welcome.
