Hi All,
Just a message to say hi.
Am new to the world of 4x4's. Have had all sorts of cars, in fact my last car was a Porsche! Sold it and bought a Jimny as I only drive about 2K a year and live up a slight hill that is difficult to negotiate in the winter. My wife wouldn't touch the Porsche and drives her 2012 Corsa everywhere. She has however driven the Jimny and likes it.
I bought my Black/Grey Jimny from a Suzuki main dealer (CMW) and I enjoy driving it very much. It's certainly no Porsche, but I can at least get into it without the wife and I putting our backs out !! It's a 2007, has a full service history and has 28K on the clock.
I have had one major problem with my Jimny. Two months after I bought it the gearbox had a bearing on the way out, but after a bit of whinging CMW took the gearbox out and replaced all of the bearings as a sign of goodwill.
The next thing to do is to replace the Cat pipe as the heat shield is breaking up, one of the hangers has rotted through and it has been welded before where the downpipe meets the Cat. I won't rush to do these repairs though as it still runs fine as it is, it just needs fixing before the next MOT.
Sorry I don't have any pics yet and even if I did, I doubt if I would know how to put them on here.

Thank you for the welcome!
It's true, my last car was a Porsche Boxster 2.7. I had it for about 3 years... mid life crisis and all.
I spent thousands on it, new clutch, IMS bearing, coffin arms, new wheels, services etc etc, but it nearly killed us to get in and out of the damn thing! Was fun though! Traded it in at CMW Suzuki and I got a really good price (once they saw the bills for the extra work done). It was bought as more of a hobby car. The big problem for me was I didn't drive it. I work half a mile from where I live and her indoors wouldn't touch it. If ever there was ice or snow you couldn't move it and if the wifes car was in for service I had to drive her to work. Now she happily takes the Jimny, and, if it's raining, I will take the jimny to work rather than walk and get wet.
Now I get my kicks at 45MPH and lovin it.
Thanks again.
