Just purchased my new ride, a 99 Jimny in red after selling my Vitara in favour of a full live axle set up. Alot was done to the Vitara in the 3 years of ownership, almost a no-expense-spared project and I've decided not to open my wallet quite as much with the Jimny as its my daily ride, opting for practical modifications to cope with camping, greenlaning and the occasional sofa/fridge freezer collection, not happened yet but convinced it will!
Luckily this one was stripped back in the begining of the year and all the prone rusting parts treated or welded and with the added bonus of already being blessed with M/T tyres should mean I won't need to do anything to explore my local greenlanes.
I know enough about Vitaras but not a lot about Jimny's so perhaps people replying can help with things like diff ratio? Torque output? Their worst Jimny fix/mod job? Things like that or any real useful information to part to a new Jimny owner with experience driving the same badge would be most helpful.
Thank you, its an honour to be amongst likeminded people.
