Change the timing chain tensioner any guides and possibly the timing chain on that bmw 1.8 whilst it is not in the car because they are known to fail.

I am looking forward to seeing what you do to this!

Thanks for tips, I'll think about it. The car is going to be completely rebuilt - engine and transmission, axles, suspension, wiring etc. Should be ready around June.
