But thats a complete joke that you can't get a front bar on 07-current cause its against the law.
Does that mean you can't even mount a winch ?

at the moment just tyres, but the main reason is for locker's when I get them :evil:

It will make mounting a winch more expensive as it has to meet impact test requirements unless......

....it is mounted behind the manufacturers safety devices. I can see a market for inboard mounted winches, typically mounted on the chassis rails behind the front bumper and behind the crumple zone areas on the chassis rail ends.

Some people on this board have made up "hidden" winch mounts, perhaps I should look into getting a "bolt on" solution made up. It probably just ees some out of the box thinking as some military vehicles and the Ibex have inboard mounted winch systems.

If you need a guinea pig for this, let me know . I would eventually like to fit a hidden winch behind the standard front bumper.

Hi Guys long time no update.
Well I've done a few things to the Jimny in the past few months.
Welded some more steel to the transfer skid plate, to stop junk getting pushed upwards

LED light in the rear to make it easier getting gear out at night.

Rola Vortex basket to put camping gear in.

TJM Airtec snorkel

Got some Lightforce HID 170's

And I also order a rear Air Locker :woohoo:
Thats about it for now.

I think Australia has some silly laws also. I understand that if you want Rocksliders or an external roll cage you could not weld to the chassis as this is against the law.

I think it was somone on here looking at bolt on Rocklsliders that told us that.

Rear Arb Locker. Had it no the Jimny for 6 or so months, love it. :woohoo:

New Suspension last week. Tough Dog 80mm complete kit.



And some other little bits.

1. Looking good.
2. Sierra Hubs and BenT Hub adapters to put on.
3. Chrome Door Handles (bling-bling)
4. ARB Winch Recovery Bag, keeping everything together and neat.
5. Garmin Edge 800. For Mountain Biking, but handy to use for its Hema Topographic Maps when wheeling.
6. Rearview Cover (bling-bling)
Also got some new tyres coming, hopefully fedex deliver them this week.
