Hey,
Thanks for the Welcome everyone
Just been looking at tyres on a budget, I would love to put 215/75/15 muds on it but the price it is a bit extreme for me and as I would have to buy 5 that puts the price up as awell, found some Hankook for NZ$213 each but have come across some Linglong R620 A/T's (similar pattern to the BFG's) for only NZ$126 and would only need 4 because my spare would be the same size. I know they are Chinese  and that but my landlord has them on his work van is happy with them so I guess they can't be to bad.
Do you really get that much extra clearance on the 215's compared to the 205's? I don't really need mud tyres (they would be nice though), A/T's on the Terrano got me most places I needed to and I don't see the Jimny being any different.
Any thoughts and opinions would be great.

Oh no, do not buy Linglong tyres! I bought some for my Mrs old Ka & thought we were gonna die! Seriously, you could change lanes using just the throttle! I got them replaced after 100 miles & they now form part of my old clubs off road course!
The Jimjam is very sensitive with death wobble so buying tyres that want to kill you too is a recipe for death - quite literally!
They will offer no grip on the road in the wet either because of their cheap compound with no research in them at all.
Please, please please do not buy them. Get a remould AT or MT over them, maybe from Insa turbo or malatesta.

The time will come hopefully one day that the world will stop buying cheap Chinese goods. They churn out total crap. I am starting to try and make an effort to not buy them. Unfortunately we dont have a choice in a lot of cases.

Thanks for the replies
Looks like the longlongs are not worth the trouble anyone tired the Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10?
Those are only $175 hopefully that seems like a better deal
I am also wondering your thoughts on the size difference?
Cheers

Thank god for that! You don't live long on ling longs! I've read on Auszookers forum of people using Hankook off road tyres but not in the UK. Perhaps have an ask on there for an opinion as I think you'll get more of an answer.

Haven't updated this page for a while but after getting my rear shelving built thought a few photos might be in order.
I still need to put a shelve on the left hand side so i can keep the bins split up and carpet/paint it but over all I am happy.
Currently using the tie down mounts but will use the seat mounts as well when i can find the correct bolts.
Also will probably put the tie down mount on the top.
