Meet Pete the newest member of my family.

Thought it was time to introduce myself now that I've taken the plunge and bought myself a Jimny.


My red 06 plate Jimny has been affectionately named 'Pete' by my four year old, to the amusement of my work colleagues. Pete was bought as standard, except for some narrow mud and snow tyres fit by the previous owner.


Pete is my daily driver, but the intention is to modify him over the next few months for pay and play days and a bit of green lanes, if I can find any !! My first foray with Pete is tomorrow at Tong, so if any members see me there please say hello.

My first modification was completed on Thursday, where Darren at KAP Keighley installed my 2" lift, including extended brake hoses and the HD transfer box mounts. I also had the rear shock re-locator brackets installed. It was a really nice experience at KAP, and I would heartily recommend having Darren work on your motor.

So what have I got planned next? In order most likely we have snorkel, wheel spacers, all wheels painted gloss black, BF Mud Terrain KM2's in 215/75 R15, KAP low profile bumper and alloy trim plate, re-locate front mud flaps ..............

welcome mate and red is the best colour :lol: darren bulit mine (for the original owner) back in 98 it was one of his 1st jimnys

Darren is still very enthusiastic even though he's being modding Jimny's for 15 yrs !! My intention is to have Darren keep Pete working nicely for years to come. Getting quite excited about putting him through his paces tomorrow !!
