My new Jimny!!! :-p was created by guillaaaume
Hi everyone!

I'm Guillaume from Belgium and I've recently bought a new Jimny (petrol, 63 KW, 1 300 cc).

She's not modified for offroad yet but she will be soon. I read many forums to get some advices about what to modify.

I'm also intersted in sharing experiences with people living nearby (Jimny meetings, exhibitions, etc.) but there is no Belgian forum dedicated to the Jimny... :-(

Here are 2 pics (more to come later...)

Cheers!!!

Looks nice and shiny. When are you going to buy everything d&g tuning sell and make it hardcore?

Just be aware that I've read those wheels can cause vibration when fitted with big tyres and that if you want big tyres you might want to buy steel wheels for them.

Welcome!

Nice looking Jimny, someone on here has been asking me where you get bars for the front, are yours standard fit?

There are a few people from Belgium on this forum.

Hey! :-D

Thanks for the replies.

I've heard about that problem with the vibrations, but I didn't know it came from changing the wheels. I'll keep it in mind.

About the side bars, they come from Suzuki. I ordered them when I ordered the car. For the moment I haven't buy anything yet from specialized shops to modify it. Everything comes from Suzuki. I think it's possible to order it from their website (depending on which country you live in).

There's also a spoiler at the back. I'll take more pictures today.

About the modifications I'm not planning to modify much. I just want to be able to go offroad sometimes but also to keep driving it on regular roads. I was just thinking about changing the wheels and raising the height. Someone told me that I will have to remove the side bars as well, but I'm not convinced yet...

Hmmmmm, mine started out all shiny like that, that looks good! Mines sporting body length scratches and scuffs now, bonnet and headlamps scratched. Its too much fun getting muddy to worry about minor damage.

Sidesteps went via ebay too after getting in the way off road!

Black Jimny's don't get stuck!

Indeed I don't expect to keep it shiny for long but I surely will take good care of her lol.

And I find it stupid those side bars and bull bar that are supposed to protect the car in difficult roads while in fact you need to remove them...

Hi - Nice looking car
Am I right in thinking that in Belgium you have to be very careful about any modifications you make as your country is very strict? Infact I think you have to pay extra tax for even the very limited changes you can make. A French friend who lives in Belgium has his Samurai registered in France for that very reason.

Manual VVT, 2 1/2" lift, ORA castor corrected arms, 2" ORA body lift, 4:1 transfer box, Uprated front shafts & CVs ERM , ARBs back & front 3.9 diffs, 6 point cage, ORA winch bumper - Superwinch EP9, ORA rear bumper, ORA axle truses, Diff guards ERM , TBR tank guard, Snorkel, Kumho KL71.30.9.50 15

Yes we have to pay more for the roadworthiness tests if the car is modified because it is considered as a tuned car, and a lot of modifications are not authorized. They even made a website where they explain what is authorized and what is not: www.how2tune.be/

It's true that they are a bit touchy...

Hi there ! What a beauty !
Seeing as your looking to make her offroad worthy, are you going to be adding ground clearance by removing that front bar ..? I've been looking for one for a long time.
No worries if not.
Thanks very much. :)
