I remember seeing this a while ago when you first posted it and though - it's going over ... oh it's not!

Do you find that neither of you find that quite so extreme now you've been doing it a while?

We've been doing more and more extreme stuff on lanes in the Lakes and Derbyshire and at different sites and repeat something we've already done just to find it not as scary as a year before!

I'm now at the stage of thinking - I've got to draw a line here somewhere as the car is now getting quite formidable as is the spending and I'm nearly up for anything!

Pretty much yes ... although I just know its going on its side sooner or later ...

Im finding it too easy to throw money at it to make it more and more capable. we have a number of places that we go to on Salisbury plain that are literally only designed for tracked vehicles ... and the jimny is able to ride between the rutts created by the tracks.

We are still let down though by the short wheelbase though when climbing some obstacles.. other times being small has been a plus point

Starting to wonder if an engine transplant might be the way forward though as the puny 1.3 is struggling to get to 50mph these days with the increase in height, width.

Yes I'm the same your fear goes away a bit each time then you get it a bit wrong and go oh s**t oh s**t - last time was sliding backwards down a climb after grounding out and then stalling it on slippy clay - as soon as the wheels stopped turning it whent backwards quite quickly following the deep ruts whilst i was trying to restart the engine - the roll cage had a discussion with a tree
Thank god for external roll cages
