Cornish Jimny was created by nads1978
1.3 auto, purchased at the 3 year mark for a bargain, with 9k miles on her. Was used by Londoner for the daily hack, obviously needed a 4x4 to negotiate the treacherous inner city. Living on the moors it is often necessary to own a rugged/capable vehicle & the wife likes small auto cars.
I've had a lot of 4x4s and this one is one of the better ones at performing off road. Probably due to its low weight and low torque. Likewise performance in snow/ice is nothing less than brilliant, putting my previous Grand Cherokee, Range Rovers & Discovery to shame. It has a few optional extras; Alloys, chrome spare wheel cover, heated mirrors; now has a tow-bar for trips to the tip.
Can anyone enlighten me, as to which model it is?And what engine model type? Is this derived from the VIN? I need to replace some parts but don't know which model I need them for. (e.g. M13 engine or G13BB. Chassis SJ/?? etc)

Your jimny is MK2, as it's a 07 it will be fitted with the M13AA or the M13AA VVT engine .
The G13BB is only fitted in some early jimny hard tops and the soft tops, it has a black cambelt cover on the front of the engine.
This link might help you.

Hi Nads
nice motor, same colour and year as mine, except mine's manual.
yes your's is the M13AA
2 models, JLX and JLX+ (with half leather)
beware that our's has the face-lifted bumper - hence, most tyres will rub :pinch:
