Just realised I haven't updated for a while.

Decided it was time to make a handy table ready for the Fraser trip

Need to cover the top and job done

Was a bit bored, thought I'd do this

I've been airbrushing

New Smily Diff

and more

Mounted the spare wheel cover

Added a couple of extra door stops behind my spare to stop it rattling

Also while the spare is off I thought I'd show a clear pic of how I raised the spare to clear the bumper

Updated the mounting of my bed base/storage thingy. The Turnbuckles got in the way of access underneath.

Silver Jim's first Fraser Island trip

Another weekend of beach camping :)
Had a late arrival.

Castello di Zukenutter ;)

Jimny at Centennial Park, Sydney - 980kms from home, 11.5 hours

Jimny doing its ever-evolving job.
Towed the boat for an hour and a half each way.

A day trip to the beach

The Jimny looks great mate, is the air brush work done by you, seems a shame to have it hidden away on the diff.

I had a couple of mates go traveling in oz and they brought a disco whilst there, they visited Fraser island and being a couple of idiots though they knew what hey were doing and got stuck on the beach with nothing, they were lucky enough to be passed by a local who pulled them out but it just shows how quickly things can and do go wrong.

Looks lke you had a good trip.

Yeah Dan, airbrushing is by me. The diff is just visible from behind, it's a remnant of my street custom infatuation.

Fraser can easily catch the uninitiated by surprise. I've been travelling to Fraser since 1988 and have lost track of how many times I've been there, over the years we've seen lots of boggings and a few 4WDs lost to the ocean. Sometimes Fraser can be an easy drive all the way to the top, other times after heavy storms/seas or king tides it can be a hard working adventure.

Some more pics from our Fraser Jimny trip

A little water crossing on the way south today

Busted Cruiser on the back of this

Came across some backpackers way out of their depth. 40psi, dropped 'em to 20 and pulled them backwards then sent them on their way.

The easy way to get around the island

Yeah Dan I'm really enjoying airbrushing, I've always been into art but this is the first medium that I've actually enjoyed.

Some updates and pics/vids from our Easter trip to Fraser Island

Fitted a gas strut lift to my bonnet today, pointless but cool.

New awning

Made a drawer

Fraser Island

Scored a nice little cove at Nth Ngkala. Was high tide so only saw half a dozen cars in almost four hours.

South Ngkala panorama

Access from the North to South Ngkala was pretty hacked up

Heading south today we were racing against the rising tide

South Ngkala is infamous for sorting those who can, from those who can't. We had to wait here for almost an hour and when we finally got through there were about 30 cars waiting for their turn to get bogged.

The spectators

Coffee Rock... Fun

The Chasm of Death :)
South Ngkala Rocks wash out

Almost back at Inskip Point

Vids
