Splashed out and got some old style General AT2s 205x75 whilst they are on offer before they are replaced. These replaced the road tyres it had on when I got it.

I least it doesn't look like an old lady drives it now :woohoo:

Treated them to some mud.

Seems to make the ride a bit smoother as well with that extra profile.

Definitely more purposeful looking - good looking Jimny, 2001 ?
They're a bargain - tempted to get some even though I've pre-ordered the new AT's

looks like you have "Splashed out" - are mud-flaps next on the list ;)

good to hear the ride's smoother

Looks great, dad has those on his. add a set of 30mm spacers now and it will certainly look meaty !

I'm not sure about the spacers. For similar money you can get a lift. I'm hoping to try a Pay and Play and maybe the odd bit of green laning so I was thinking a lift would be more useful for the increased articulation it gives you. What do you think?

I've been told that for every inch up, you need to go out an inch.

Great tyres, you shouldn't be disappointed. I've run mine for over 2 years now and have performed in all conditions, other than deep deep mud they have been brilliant.

I'd personally go for some spacers before a lift, you can benefit from an increase in width as much as height. It will look miles better if the wheels sit in the arch better, look at daves(bits for vits) for some idea as to how good it will look.

Thanks for the advice. I'm so impressed with how it looks now I'll probably leave spacers to next year. Looking forward now to see how it fares in the snow.

Mine were brilliant in the snow! Fresh soft stuff is where they really excel, knock her into 4h and you've got your own lane on the dual carriageways :)

Will 205/75 R15 and 15mm spacers fit on on a MK2 without cutting or lifting though?
