Been snooping around these parts for a little while now, and finally made a user! I've had my Jimny just over 12months now. It's my 2nd set of wheels, the first set being a 2001 Ford Fiesta
Went for a Jimny mainly due to my location, near Bridgnorth. Dad had a couple of SJ’s in the 80’s and I’ve always liked the idea of a ‘go anywhere’
Keeping mine fairly standard, because I use it everyday to get to and from work, although I have added a few bits a pieces over the last 12months, such as a Witter removable tow bar and a new bonnet guard.
My jeep hadn’t been well looked after when I got it, with a few small dents (no paint damage) and a few scuffs here and there. Fetched the dents out professionally, and had to fill the one in the driver’s door as it was just under the window where there’s a cross member support. The scuffs aren’t such an issue to me, as it just adds a bit of character.
Have a feeling the drivers side king pin has gone, or at least on the way out as I get the 40-50mph wobble, but it also has budget tyres on the front which could well be out! Plus I believe the 3 spoke wheels can lead to issues.
Gave it a full service a couple of months ago… found changing the gearbox oil fun.
Been laning a few times local to home, nothing hardcore… just mud and a few heavily rutted lanes
Any mods that you guys feel are needed? Not interested in modding it height wise, just wondering if there are any mods to stop potential problems!
Cheers

I'm still in the dog house after visiting Rus the first time and then again a few weeks later! And I always get more than I tell her.
Oops, just won an auction on e'bay, full KAP external cage. HAHAHAAA BARGAIN. Just got to stash it in my mates garden as i've had to hide the jimny in his garage following a 2'' bodylift. Now it wont fit in my garage even on just rims, how do I explain that to her?.

AT2s fitted! no issues with catching on the flaps
Managed to find a set of genuine sunblinds toward the end of last week, saved a few £'s on tinting, and they can be removed easily in the dark and winter months. A few pics to give you an idea of what you get. The ones for the back door are a tight fit, so i haven't bothered with the clips supplied. The side windows are held in with clips that slide behind the trim... easily removed and no sticky patches

Tad expensive, and also a tad fragile
Looks cool though
If you want one, call them and ask if they have any in stock. I had the last one a couple of months ago, and the guy said there could be a decent wait.
