Hi there, you look like you've been having fun.
Just a few questions:
What are special Low Ratio Jimny Transfer box Gears?
Have you had to cut your wheel arches to prevent your tyres catching or do they not catch?

Lol Kirkynut, better asking Martin what special Low Ratio Jimny gears are.
I know the previous owner of Martins car and we both needed to regear our jimnys after fitting larger tyres, i went down the rocklobster route and he went down the gearset route, its a set of gears that fit in your transfer case and make your low ratio 20% lower, doesnt do anything to high range. Unfortunatley the chain that drives the gears in the jimny transfer case is prone to stretching and wears out meaning that in my personal opinion a gearset would not be an option I would choose. Ideally you'd fit a new chain with the new gears but theyre £300 a chain!
Martin has given up on the gearset route fitted a rocklobster gearbox which lowers high range 20% to cope with on road driving, and gives you real rock crawling potential in low range, i wont go on as its documented elsewhere on here.

Hi,
Sorry funkyjimny but your info is not correct.
Special Low Ratio Gearsets reduce both low & high in 24%...
I am using also the 5th gears from a LWB diesel Vitara that are longer in order to keep my top speed.
Here is the site:
***Link removed at request of manufacturer***
The arches are only trimed near the door.
If you keep your swaybar with a 2" lift & a 1,5" bodylift the tyres wont catch the arches.

Sorry VitSov, its been some time since i looked into Transfer box gearsets, ive had a few rocklobsters since in both 4:1 and now 6:1 ratio.
I like your snorkle, OGZ Brazil? have any more info on that or links?
I'd watch your swaybar, on a previous jimny i had a 2" lift and got it bent badly and wrapped into the front springs on severe articulation, took an hour to get it off in the middle of a serious lane, but they do drive loads better on the road for having them.

Hi,
I'm from Singapore. I'm currently looking to get a snorkel for my rig. Saw your snorkel and was wondering if you can direct me to purchase it online please? Thanks.
