The recommended engine oil is 10-30 but did I read somewhere that 5 -30 was better for our engines and did someone recommend castrol edge? or maybe it was all a dream!!

Wow i just came on to ask the same question.

I have a 5 litres of Mobil FE 5w 30, and was wondering if l could use it instead of 10w 30.

I currently have 10w 40 in the engine and it's due a oil change and thought in this cold weather to change to a thinner oil.

I use mobil 5w30 in my 2005 vvt model and it runs great on it.
