Gen 3 telescopic radio antenna stuck [solved] was created by The Coil Spring
Hi all AM and FM listeners out there, any tricks to free it up?
The upper (thinner) section is seized at the lower (wider) section. It is seized in its outmost position, that is to say it won't slide in. The lower sections slides into the roof as it should. I have the antenna out of the car. What can one do?

Tried to fix my own once by joining two antennas broken two different places.
I gave up.
Luckily a new one is not so expencive.
Norway 2005 Jimny M16A VVT, 235 Cooper Disco, 2" Trailmaster, ARB rear lck.

Fixed it by Molegripping both sections (rubber blocks in the jaws), then heating up the end of the outer section with a soldering iron. It then freed up with the first attempts of twists.
Remember, the whole of the interweb, you read it on Bigjimny first!
