Steering box/unit rebuilding troubleshooting was created by borgasm
Hi everyone, I own a 2013 Suzuki Jimny JB43 that is currently leaking power steering fluid from one of the gaskets on my steering box/unit. I've attached a picture of my steering box/unit coated with some talc powder to highlight the leak. I'm planning on buying a repair kit to seal this leak. Does anyone have any references regarding repairing or rebuilding the steering box/unit? I'm not sure if I need to outright remove the steering box/unit before using the repair kit on it, so any leads are highly appreciated.
Thanks!

As long as the leak is there on the top only you could just undo the adjuster screw and put sealant on the threads. Do adjust it properly after of course.
Turn the center screw in until the play is almost gone. Not tight! Check if the steering box binds on full left or right. Tighten the nut while holding the adjuster firm in position.
Loctite thread sealant recommended but most any would do I guess.
