I have an issue with my ABS light in the dashboard. Its stays on!
So as always i go the the online bible, and read this link multiple times!
www.bigjimny.com/mediawiki/index.php/ABS...Clearing_Fault_codes
I short the pins and get code 16. Stop lamp switch circuit fault. Not knowing what the ancient texts means, i try my breakligts. 1 diode in the top light is dead. Replace it, and clear code.
But it is still there!! but only this time, when i short the pins, i get no code. Only it turns off for 1 sec, and then turns on permanently again...
Maybe worth mentioning. The diode the guide mentions, is not present on my car. Do i need to fit a diode in that hole perhaps?

Note. I checked the fuse, its fine... Unfortunately...
Kind regards Oliver

Replied by me101 on topic ABS issues.
When I had ABS light on, turned out to be a wheel sensor. My cheap reader didn't get a code, but the garage I use found it on the expensive reader, and told me which one to replace.
