Help with choosing replacement wheels/tyres was created by petejones69
I recently purchased a 2003 Jimny, which has road tyres fitted (205/70R15C) and a set of off-road tyres (195/80R15) that were in the back (plus the spare). The road tyres, to be frank, are like those on an old pram - they were slipping badly on a little mud up the driveway today. The only thing is, I have no idea what to fit or what size to go for. There is a 2" lift on the vehicle, maybe even 3".
My previous Jimny had 31" Cooper STT tyres (High Flotation Series) on black D-modulars (31x10.50R15LT), which were nice and chunky. Would a similar set of wheels/tyres be OK on the new one? Pics attached of current arrangement.
Cheers
Pete

You should have enough clearance to run 235.75r15 which is about the limit for the standard gearing before it starts labouring the system.

The only mod I know of is a 3" lift on the previous Jimny, plus the wheel arch trim was cut-away slightly.

Was thinking these wheels:
Modular Steel Wheel 15" x 7" ET7 Black
with these tyres:
BFGoodrich AT T/A KO2 All Terrain

Ideal for a competent jimny. Add a pair of helical diffs and it becomes a very small list of places you can't get to.
