Looking for a nice clean and straight LHD Jimny..... Not any more.
Got one that seems to have been magnatized and driven through the "Big Jimny Bits" parts stores too quickly so it missed a few items.
Paint codes ? was created by Rabid Rhino
I searched here and followed a couple of links which helped a bit but I was wondering if someone can confirm....
I have a 1999 European Convertible in Dark Blue with damaged panels.
I've found a 2006 UK tin top in Dark Blue (with silver moldings) that someone is breaking.
Automotivetouchup.com has two codes for what they call "Cypres Blue Metalic": Z2J & Z8D
Why call them the same name but have different codes ? Will they match? (Realise my older car has had 7 more years of spanish sun fading it more than the UK car)

Both are Cypress Blue, but Z2J is older and Z8D is described as Cypress Blue 2.
Both are metalic, but my guess would be Z2J is a 1k paint and Z8D is a 2k paint, so the Z8D will have a higher gloss level.
Both might be a different shade to what is on the vehicle (paint fade) and if you are replacing a whole panel it might not be noticeable.
