Holed condenser in Jimny petrol 1.3 2010. How long defunct as just bought it? Other probs in system?
Can't find one anywhere except for Suzuki part £450 + fitting. Or AliExpress for £145ish but essentially no returns and quality?
Anyone know an alternative model or make that fits?
Not essential but nice to have.
Thanks. Great forum.

Have you tried one of the online salvage part searches?  I'm not sure they're a particular weak area so there are probably good ones on rusted-out cars.  Is yours holed by stone impact or rust?

Thanks. I had discounted used ones as thought likely to have issues. Maybe I should think again. It was holed, the air con man said, prob by a stone. The protection seems weak, no grille in the bonnet just vents. I reckoned OEM shouldn't cost more than £120 or so. Not worth £500+ to me to fix!

Without getting a magnet out, I would guess they are not steel anyway.  Steel wouldn't be ideal for what is effectively a radiator.    Probably aluminium or brass.

I've never seen an automotive a/c condenser made of anything other than aluminium, depending on the style of construction (microchannel or tube & fin) and where the hole is they can sometimes be repaired by welding.

My dealer went to an local Aircon specialist and got an aftermarket one as the availability lead time and price of a Suzuki one was too much
