Jimny 3 - factory longitudinal roof rail installation

What are the proper torque values when tightening the nuts on the roof bolts when installing factory longitudinal roof rails onto a Jimny gen3?
I am referring to the rails marked with red rectangles in the attached picture.

I am asking this because I installed factory longitudinal roof rails several months ago and I tightened the nuts just by my own personal "hand feeling".

Yesterday I noticed that both rails are broken off at both ends (feet) near the bolts although I have never loaded them more than about 20 kg in total. I suspect that my improper tightening torque was the cause of this.

Now I have to find & buy another set of used roof rails at a great expense and therefore I do not want to mess up the installation the next time.

I don't know specifically but I can't see it being much as they are only an m6 thread so maybe 20 or 25Nm?

That's very high. I wouldn't like to guess, but I'd have said 10-12nm is more appropriate for an m6 with a large washer clamping plastic.

I did know, but similar on my Triumph motorcycle (M6 holding plastic) is 6NM, so I wouldn't expect the rails to be more than 10NM. Even though I have a torque wrench that will go down to 5NM, it's not very tight and I tend to just take up the slack and give it a gentle "nip" by feel. Most of these fasteners also have thread lock applied, but that may just be a motorcycle thing.

Nip = very light fingers only push against the spanner, close to the nut.*
