Hey, folks, would anyone know if the 1.6p in the 2016 Vitara is suitable for an engine swap into a 2005 Jimny with the M13a VVT?
I know the earlier model Vitara's have the M16a, which is a straight swap. Just wondering how long that engine was put into the Vitaras.

Tried to see the pictures for cars for sale but people doesnt show the engine anymore. anyways I would think that the newer engines will be more costly and as they are not period correct to the 2005 auxhiliaries that we usually swap over from the m13 to ease the work with the swap, I would think it is no point in chasing the extra 15hp and more cost and more trouble with getting it to fit.
With more trouble you could look into other engines /transmission combos and get the better transmission as well as it is not so strong in the 2005 jimny.

Thanks, sounds like a non-runner.
Unfortunately where I'm based in Ireland, the M15 and M16a are becoming hard to find. I'll stay on the hunt.
