Had the RAC out yesterday as the Jimny wouldn't start.
He jiggled the crank position sensor and it started again. Want to get a new one but the main dealer is struggling to identify the correct part. Can anybody hear help - I'm told that on the later convertibles they just used whatever parts they had left, so on mine it appears the crank position sensor is on the bottom of the car at the front of the sump I think. Pictures attached - can anyone help?

The Santana factory (soft top models) ran down production from 2003 onwards. After this date you get a complete hotchpotch of cars/parts that were either built up from parts lying around in the factory or cars that have sat in a storage pound for, quite frankly, years.
Yours, despite being a 55 plate (2005/2006) is one of those. It has a G13B engine whilst all other models have migrated to M13 or M13VVT engines by this stage. Indeed, some people have 54 plate soft tops with M13 and M13VVT in them.
Based on it having a G13 the sensor is 33220-70E00 , however I would get better confirmation that it is that sensor
