Engine G13BB vs. M13A - which one is better

Hi there as a total nubi to the jimny i wonder if you can clear up a point, on our log book it states its got an M13A Engine but under vehicle details is says its a jimny VVT dose this refer to the engine being the vvt or something else. Thanks in advance for any help Graham.

M13A shoud be the VVT version 2005ish onward. If you take a picture of the top of the engine somebody will confirm for you. :)
