I had the same problem and when i turned my heater on it cooled down i fitted electric fan tie wrapped my viscous so it was always on and still i had the same problem turned out it was a blocked rad even though i backflushed it managed to get one off Ebay nice and cheap do yourself a favour and get a new rad since fitting mine i have taken off the electric fan and removed the tie wraps from the viscous fan.
