Is there a closer live wire than the battery that could be used to power the light? The front headlights are permenent live and switched on via an earth so was wondering if the rear lights are the same?

So I have these 2 lights to fit.

They are both 12v

Will (as before suggested) these work if ran from back of break light to a door sensor via a 3 amp fuse in a circuit.

Anyone possible to include wiring diagram and best place to get door sensor.

Ill be cutting the connector blocks off

Thanks!

You could piggy back off the front interior light if you wanna take the roof lining down to do it

Just noticed this thread , I think Car Builder Supplies do a door switch which has a very long plastic switch that can be cut to length.
In our jeep (which has no doors fitted!) we use a work lamp with a integral push button switch which is superb for reading maps at night etc
Also a couple of weeks ago I picked up a really good inspection lamp from Maplins - loads of LEDs and a plug in charger for charging in car as well as a mains unit but mostof the time it is used as a torch - very bright and only about £15, would double up as a boot lamp, breakdown lamp and a torch. Also been using it inthe TR7 as the interior lamps in there leave a bit to be desired
