Thanks to the forum I've partly tracked down the problem and effected a temp repair. Sods law that things go wrong only when you need them. I've got the flashing light on the dash and no clicking from the hubs. So thanks to the advice on here I've bridged the connector on the vacuum sensor, whipped off the hubs and manually locked them.
When I've more time I'll repipe the air lockers with plastic pipe but the question is .... How much pipe will I need, I'm thinking about 5 metres
