as above does anyone have any pics diagrams etc of where the gearstick needs to be bent for the SJ tbox to fit into a jimny.
Need to try and get it right 1st time as im taking it to a workshop to bend it but my jimny isnt there so to go back and fourth would be a nightmare, any advice much appreciated thank you
It needs to be bent and twisted in several different plains - so you really are going to struggle. Can't you put the transfer box in 2wd, take the stick out again, fit the transfer box, drive it to the workshop and bend it by trial and error with the car there.
That's what I did and can't see how you could do it otherwise. You'll be back and forth like a yo yo and the person heating it and bending it will never know how much to bend it when you say - "it needs to go a little that way and twist this way".

Yeah, absolutely no way getting it right on the first try! Or if you somehow manage to do so, make sure you grab a lottery ticket on the way home! :laugh:
