Okay my first ever car was a suzuki swift 98

I loved that car (until the fuel tank burst)

The seat belts never ever retracted by themselves

Very annoying when it always needed a push or got stuck in the door.

Now I have my Jimny which I again love and don't ever want to get rid of!

But the seat belts never retract!

I know it's not really a big deal at all.

I'm just curious if anyone else has the same trouble?

Me too; always shutting the bloody thing in the door. However the thread linked suggests a way to fix it, which I will try if I get some time.

Well I looked on the link and the concensus is that the belt needs washing to get the grime off then it retracts better, well my Jimny is brand spanking new with clean seatbelts and it still has this won't retract problem, I think it's because when you let go of the belt the belt being behind the seat somewhat twists and it's that twist that stops it retracting, if you take the twist out it retracts fine...but you have to remember to do it, I'm always hearing a crunch from my wifes side as she traps it in the door...ouch!!!!!
