Jimny vvt engine has suddenly developed a rattle/clatter at front of motor. Could be crank pulley, power steering belt pulley or tensioner. Am thinking of removing both belts and running motor for a few seconds to try and isolate source of noise. Anyone see a problem with this ? Is there any way to check if pulleys are about to fall apart. Any advice gratefully received.
