replacing exhaust was created by nate78
well, my MOT is due next week so thought it best to replace the exhaust as it is very badly rusted and i have had a brand new exhaust in my garage,
started withe the joint at the manifold, the bolts didnt budge, applied wd40, still nothing, tried heat but, still nothing, next in my arsonal of tools the good ole grinder, i had to cut the exhaust into pieces then take the manifold off so i can now attempt to remove the 2 bolts on my work bench, so that will be my job when i finish work, yay!!

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

The piece that bolts to the manifold contains the catalyst, they are expensive. Good job you have a new one.
I generally take the tube cutter to exhausts that are scrap, and then devote the effort to parting the flange/opening the split joint.
