Wheel Bearing NUT / 4WD failure identified was created by ritchie
Hi,
I've been struggling with the vacuum hubs for the 4WD. After a few checks etc I found the problem to be the wheel bearing retaining nut. The smooth outer surface of the nut is where the vacuum hubs seals for locking the 4WD, however in the past some nugget has not had the correct wheel bearing tool and used a Stilson on the nut face chewing it up therefore ruining the seal face, causing the 4WD to leak and obviuosly not work. I've tried a few botch jobs but really need a new retaining but, my question is...... Where would I get one from, I've looked around on the webbernet but had no joy??
