Fag lighter extension.

Probably a daft one this. In my Landy I happily and without problems use one of those extension leads that plug into the cigarette lighters and have several sockets on the end to allow the use of more than one device. In this case, recharging a camping light and running a 12v cool box. I can't find any info on the amount of oomph either takes but have to assume its not a lot if the Landy electrics take it. Any reason (ie a known weak spot) why the jimny won't cope?

I have one in mine I got from Halfords. It seems to take phonecharger, satnav, camera charger and lamps running fom one socket. Best thing to do would to check how many amps each device you want to run, add them up and then check the ampage of the inline fuse in the adapter :)

Niether device has anything useful like that on them. Ah well , at worst it's a fuse.

The cigar lighter fuse is 15A, giving you ~150 W useful power. Most 12V chargers don't pull over 2A usually, so you should be covered. If it's a simple coolbox (the type with a fan) it will not take much, but if it's a full fledge fridge it can take up to 16 A.
