Ive got a 215/75/15 on mine without any mods and it fits, just! There is a few mil gap at the bottom of the tyre, between it and the bumper. For that reason i wouldnt say you could fit any bigger but i could be wrong. It doesnt hit the bumper or anything when you close the door, it fit just right.
I don't know what would be the biggest combo to fit on there, but I don't think it's a very good idea to put any heavy tires there, because those door hinges are so crappy they barely can withstand the weight of a stock tire in the long run...
