just bought buckets seat off ebay and recieved them today , the slides on the new seats are not the same as the ones on standard jimny 1998 model the left slide is about 3-4" longer then the right on the driver seat , is there any way i can take the slides off jimny seats and put on new bucket seats? they are all riveted in so im not sure, so need another alternative but want them to adjust not stay in one place, any answers will appreciated im lost with it

yes it can be done




what i did was fit the jimny seat runners in the car with the seat removed from them then on mine i had to make the holes slightly bigger at the rear then the fromt i made to stripes of metal and bolted from the frame to the seat

cheers mate only problem is that my bucket seat are adjustable so the leavers in the way if u get me ive got a snorkel to be fitted tomorrow so i'll get the bucket seata fitted and harness too as i dont havr the tools for it

been trying all day lol given up now the slides are shorter ans out wider not as straight forward as i thought it be but i dont have a clue how to do things with cars

so thay are reclining seats then mmmm can you weld or no some one who can also do you want them to slide back and forth

yeah reclining mate only thing i can think of doing well telling them to do in garage is weld 2 strips across the runners on the jimny bracket and bolt it to that and spot weld the jimny slides so they wont move and then use the adjustments on the new seats i think
