DTC to suzuki codes was created by Knifeman
I have an engine error P135 (telling oxigen sensor). I replaced the Oxigen sensor with a new one (the one on the air intake), reseted the ECU and keep on getting the same error... I'm not sure if the scanner tools gives the right info... so is there any table available to map the standard DTC codes to the suzuki codes in the manual

(ow yes, I do not seem to be able to get the flashing engine sign as described in the manual by making a short circuit on the connector ... strange)

thanks guys !

if you see this readings, what do you think could be wrong with the engine? am I mistaking and is the heated oxygen sensor the same as the Lambda sensor ?

The oxygen sensor is the one on the exhaust manifold: a lambda sensor, it says the heater circuit has failed. (I think that is sensor 1: sensor 2 should be the one after the catalyst)

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

so is there a way to verify this, or could the failing sensor be the consequence of a failing catalist? the sensor is priced 130 euro's here, so I'd rather don't fix this by trial and error ;)

As Facade says, its the heater circuit of Sensor 1, the one high up on the exhaust manifold.

The diagnostic is below, if you have a meter you can do a resistance check of the heater.

If it is this part then there are some cheaper generic parts around that can be used instead of the expensive Suzuki ones.

If you are very, very lucky, it may just be a corroded connector. Follow the wires from the sensor up to the back of the engine, part the connector, and check for corrosion/ broken or damaged wires.

As Martin says, you can buy a generic part, I believe they are a 4 wire sensor, cut the original wire and join to the bare wires on the new one. (Someone has already done this on mine, and it works perfectly.)

BTW, what software are you using to read the codes?

I bought Digimoto 5, I was seduced by the pretend dashboard dial display and the performance measuring section, but really it is no better than the open source scantool.net. (Just cost me £25  )

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)
