Loads of chat about transfer box problems associated with the infamous drive chain.
Has anyone ever tried to uprate the chain system ??? and change the ratio to run bigger wheels.
Surely with 410 boxes becoming rarer there could be a market for a bolt in uprate kit.

There is a reduction gearset for the jimny box, but the Rocklobster is the best route to go.
The way around the 410 box is to use a 413 or samurai box and install a gearset like the trial gear sets.

Funny you should say that as lots of people like the ubber quietness of the chain drive I was thinking of spacing a case out and fitting a double chain. And also looking at lower gearing than is already available.
Also looking at scratch built cases from billet but they are a way off yet. Enjoy the lobsters while they are still about and when they have all gone then there will be a replacement I can assure you.

Dulpex !!!!!!!!!!!! going to the touble of spacing casing why not go Triplex chain surely if you uprate the chain and change the ratio bettween the sprockets then this will give you everthing needed or am i missing somthing ???
The chain is a Morse Chain which, in itself, is more than "duplex"
The trouble with a straight ratio change is that everything is sized for the orginal design and re-sizing results in more power through smaller cogs which can lead to chain slip.
