I have a few mini-trucks, one being a 1994 Suzi Jimny 660cc turbo fuel injected. I dropped the tank and pulled the fuel pump which was bad (Denso 195130-2310). I had no luck at auto parts stores trying to cross it over and no luck on Denso's website either. Found some used ones on ebay for an arm and a leg, which are just that...used, but I want to put in a new one. I wound up trying one that had the same style plug which was for a toyota solara. Pump worked great and seemed to have plenty of volume and pressure..but the engine just spits and sputters. I pulled the return line from the pressure regulator on the fuel rail and held back pressure with my finger over it...the engine seemed to come to life and run just fine. I checked vacuum to the regulator and all seemed well. I pulled the regulator (Denso 15610-83C00) to try and inspect it, but its not really a part that can be inspected. My big question is if any of you guys have encountered the same problems and what did you use for replacements and where did you get them? The engine was running perfect until the old fuel pump went out so I am thinking it doesn't have much to do with the regulator...I prob just need the right pump! Thanks in advance for any advice!
