Tyre / Wheel Guide was created by Jimnyash
Is there a definitive tyre / wheel guide as to what will fit, what needs mod etc etc?

I'm interested in what can be done and what causes issues which needs more work. I've seen so many posts with different combos, it's difficult to compare everything. Something like:

205/70 x 15 (standard) [ 26"] - No issues
205/70 x 15 (standard) [ 26"] with wheel spacers - Needs arch trim or body lift (example)
215/70 x 15 [27"] - No issues
215/75 x 15 [28"] - Needs arch trim or body lift (example)
215/80 x 15 [28.5"] - Needs arch trim or body lift (example)
235/70 x 15 [28"] - Needs arch trim or body lift (example)

Maybe people could add to this and note what they needed to do for everything to be sweet?

It's just an idea really. Maybe it's already been done and I cant find it.

I don't want to go and shell out for tyres and spacers etc, only to find I ideally need a body lift or arch trim. I don't plan on any heavy off roading, just a few green lanes, so cant really justify a spring lift (at the moment!)

i agree and would love to see this as a guide. in a perfect world in table form .
i understand a compilation of this info would be time consuming for administrators and mods but it would surely clean up the questions of tyre sizes. perhaps we start with a thread on this and each member posting tyre / wheel sizes and make , at/mt , spring lift , body lift , wheel spacers, castor correction etc and make it a sticky ?? anyone looking to change tyre sizes could instantly refer to this.

if mods would allow, i would be prepared to compile this data in some sort of agreed format but we would have to agree on the format and presumably only for situations with no problems. situations with " tyres rub a little" or "catch arches on full extension" etc would only complicate matters.
i would also need the necessary form of access to input this .
anyone have any comments ? thanks rob
just to qualify this - i'm not seeking a promotion , just running 195 80 15 tyres that seem to be hard to come by and may need to change soon.

Great! :cheer:

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks it would be a good idea!

I'd love to contribute, but not having any more info other than standard sizes, I cant be much help!

Good on yer, different brands come up different sizes so it will be complex!

To know what size such and such a brand is in a size would help massively!
